There it is!

I knew it was up there somewhere. Wasn't a happy poo, but then I knew that would be the case. Actually, I'm kind of depressed in general today. It was probably the pound of Buffalo Wings washed down with a can of coke last night. Then I went and had a greasy slice of pizza from Bitondo's for lunch and washed that down with coke as well. Always a winning combination.

Dead Batteries

I've been feeling really low energy lately. Just don't feel much like doing anything, including p90x, although I have been doing that.

It's been tough though, especially to get through the really unpleasant workout like plyometrics and yoga. Even legs and back is too much for me. And this is supposed to be my last week. I'm starting my last recovery week today, but I don't know if I'm going to actually do any of it. I feel kind of lazy.

It's my diet, I know. I don't eat well, I don't even think about what I put in my mouth most of the time. Lately there's been not a LOT of coke, but more coffee. Eggs, ham, cheese, and then snacks here and there. Lots of granola bars, that sort of thing.

I have to say though, even if I haven't been following the diet very well p90x has made a huge difference in my body. My arms look pretty serious and my abs are honestly a little washboard like. I put on a tight white tank top of my girlfriend's yesterday and finally saw my physique without all that body hair in the way. I'm impressed! Still really slender of course, leaner than I'd like to be, but definitely in the ball park I've been working towards, which is VERY encouraging. I was actually feeling like my results weren't much, but I can't really SEE anything through my bodyhair. It's funny.

Happy Birthday poo

It's my birthday tomorrow, but I'm celebrating a little bit early by skipping my p90x workout for the day. I'll do it next week, during my recovery week. That's right, Phase II is done! Pretty exciting! I really need to get more strict about my diet though, I've been having pizza and lots and lots of cheese, eggs, bread, etc, etc. This weekend won't be good for much either since it's my birthday.

Tonight my girlfriend is taking me to Beer Bistro on King at Yonge. Looks like a very classy, very carnivorous place, with hundreds of beers to choose from. Each menu item (including desserts) is paired with a beer, so I'm looking forward to it. I will definitely pig out. And tomorrow I'm having a couple of friends over to play some Wii and eat pizza, drink some beer, some wine, and so on. Not a party exactly, just easy going good times. I should have a good poo to show for it afterwards too, so look out for that!

Parents House Day 3 - The Final Chapter

Yeah, I forgot and wiped before taking the picture again. I also spat a thick loogie in the bowl at some point (that's not semen in the water), so this is not a very good picture, but it wasn't the greatest poo either.

Some morning poos are really great but others, like this one, are unpleasant. Something tells me all that coke led up to this.

Spent a lot of yesterday and all of today helping my dad get his boat ready for the water, but in the end he was too tired and beat to finish it up. This was okay by me. I wasn't expecting to have to do all that work all weekend, I thought I'd just be helping out at the Yacht Club to raise the boat off the trailer and lower it into the water. So I was kind of beat too. Oh well, I'll probably go back out there on wednesday.

My mom made bacon and pancakes for lunch today. A whole pound of bacon and enough pancakes for my entire family: 2 parents, 3 sons, 1 daughter in law, 4 grandkids. It was a lot of pancakes. I ate four. Apparently my mom needs to learn how to scale back a little.

Meet the Poorents

I'm spending the weekend at my parents house in order to attend my niece's 5th birthday party and to help my dad launch his boat. Usually staying with my parents means eating steak and french fries, or hamburgers and french fries, or roast beef and mashed potatoes, or something else along those lines.

By the way, doesn't this poo look like a slice of pizza?

My parents, however, have been trying to eat better because they're getting pretty damn old, and pretty damn heavy. So far it's been working and my dad has lost 20 pounds or so, which is a amazing. What's disturbing about it though is that he doesn't really look thinner, so I don't know what's going on.

Tonight we had Shrimp and Vegetable kabobs. Pretty good, not too exciting. We'll be having smoked salmon tomorrow night. My dad got a smoker for his birthday, so he'll be smoking it himself, which is kind of exciting.

Oh, staying with my parents also means an unlimited supply of beer, coke and chips. Since those are usually only purchased for me, the presence of these items is not affected by my parent's diet.

Kibbles and Bits and Cottage Cheese

Don't these two look like dog food and cottage cheese, respectively?

I haven't been having a good week. I haven't been eating very well, I actually flushed a poo without taking a picture by accident the other day AND I've been a little depressed about being a loser lately. The result: Shits like the above two, both in the same day. And I had another soupy one last night but my girlfriend was around so I didn't photograph it. Sorry.

I still don't have a job. I'm running out of money. My girlfriend says she'll loan me my rent, but what guy wants his girlfriend to do that?! I'm a bum, a dead beat, a loser, etc.

On the bright side, this week marks the start of Phase II of my P90X. I'm quite impressed with myself for making it this far. The sad truth though is that I probably wouldn't have made it this far if I had a job. How depressing is that.

Plus the weather has been fucking awful lately. We had a couple of good sunny days this week, but it rained last weekend and it's really weird out right now. It was supposed to be 30 celsius, feels like 40, but instead it's 17! I don't know who fucked that up, and it feels like it's going to rain any second, but it hasn't yet. Story of my life.

Yeah, the whole idea of "eating well", like even marginally following the p90x nutrition guide has been completely ignore the last two to three weeks. Not COMPLETELY ignored, but in the past week or two I've had a few beers, a pound of wings, half a large pizza, about 4 litres of coke, ice cream, candy, etc, etc, etc. I wouldn't have taken notice at all two or three months ago, but now I'm all "ugh, that's unhealthy, blah blah blah". Probably has a lot to do with my mood eh?

Yoga X today was brutal. I felt like a whiny baby. I started off fine but by half way through I was just pissed off by everything. Couldn't even appreciate the stretching feeling.

Life sucks. but I guess it'll only get better.

Disconcerting

First poo in a little while for me. Not sure what's going on. Probably just a little stressed or tense. Maybe not enough fibre in this p90x diet, I don't know.

Nice double helix on this bunch of poo though eh? Kind of looks like some DNA or one of those twisty donuts.

I'm a little concerned about the advertising on this blog. I've got it set up with adsense, but I'm not getting anything. Sometimes there are ads, sometimes there aren't, sometimes they're charity ads. I was really hoping to see ads for exlax or fibre supplements. I thought talking about my p90x experience would help generate ads for p90x, I thought talking about being a fan of Gordon Ramsay would generate Gordon Ramsay ads, but I guess high rollers like Fox and the Food Network don't need to advertise with Google. It's a little disappointing that's all.

Also I'm not getting any readers. Not sure how to promote this thing. Can't seem to find any similar forums or other blogs where readers might be interested in this sort of thing. Shit.

Dookie

Hey, another green poo! And check out that texture! It looks like pot! or dreadlocks. Must be the cabbage, that's about the only thing I've been eating consistantly over the past two days. Although I have also added a few things to my diet thanks to P90X, such as cottage cheese, and salad.

Today I had a salad with red lettuce, broccoli, celery, green onion and cottage cheese. It was pretty tasty, but it did not affect this poo since this poo actually came this morning after my workout, but before my lunch.

Yep, p90x is still kicking my ass, but just a little bit less so today. It was Yoga X today, but shit, I sweated through the first half as if it was plyometrics. Seriously. I hurt a little less today too, although that could be from the Rub A535. *shrug*

Can't seem to find a job yet. None of the jobs I applied for in the past couple of months have called me back and it seems all the offices I've applied to this week have already hired their students for the summer. Getting kind of anxious.

Gordon Ramsay's Fast Poo

Yesterday morning I lined up to try to get a wrist band so my girlfriend and I could get Gordon Ramsay to sign a copy of his new book Fast Food. Unfortunately there were at least a hundred people who beat me to the punch by about two hours. Oh well.

Apparently people in Burlington camped out for 24 hours to get a chance to see Ramsay. I figured it was just as well because we'd just have to wait in line for another three hours or more inside a crowded store.

Instead my girlfriend and I went to the Eaton Centre, checked out the situation at Indigo, had dinner at Mr. Greenjeans, then went back to Indigo to see if we could catch a glimpse of Ramsay. We did, we got to see him through the front windows, and took a couple of pictures. It was almost exciting. We might have stuck around longer but my girlfriend had to poo (interesting) so we headed home.

This poo came about this morning after I came home from her house to do some p90x. It was quick and easy and left me feeling well prepared to take on another hour of p90x, which was exhausting. I have a feeling it is always going to be exhausting. My arms still haven't recovered from yesterday and tomorrow I'm supposed to do a Shoulders and Arms workout. Holy shit, how will I manage that? I guess we'll see!

Did some grocery shopping. Bought a bunch of red lettuce, broccoli, sliced ham, organic apples, egg whites, rye bread, etc, etc. Mostly all these things were on the p90x shopping list, so now I just have to keep an eye on portions.

p90x Day 1 - The Poo

Eeh, not much of a poo there. I had a bigger one while at my girlfriend's house which was preceeded by kind of stomach pains. Probably not a good sign.

This morning I did my first day of p90x, the extreme workout. Now, I don't really work out at all, so yeah, it was pretty extreme. I cycle everywhere, and I was swimming every now and then, but my endurance is pretty low. That's why I'm doing p90x.

So this morning I got up at 5:30 and did push ups and pull ups and lifted a little weight for about an hour and a half. My arms are still tight feeling. I could barely wash my hair in the shower after. I had to shake my head to brush my teeth. Feels pretty good though. I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

I don't think you can blame p90x for the poo pictured, but I'll be doing some grocery shopping with the p90x nutrition guide as a guide later today so that probably will have a major influence on my poo. Stay Tuned!

Poo90x

No poo yesterday. I seem to be skipping days. The disturbing part is that there was a part of yesterday when I felt a poo coming and I probably could have pooed but I chose not to because I was busy with something else. The result: Not a big poo, but a pretty dense one.

Look at how well it held together compared to some of the other poos posted on here. That's not the longest log I've produced but it was a pretty good one. Came out at about 10:30 this morning.

In other news I'm in the process of downloading the P90X workout videos you've probably seen advertised on tv. I downloaded a p90x torrent that includes the guides that come in the package as pdfs as well as all the videos from the dvds. I'm looking forward to it. I'm in reasonably good shape. I have nothing to complain about but I don't want to end up a little tubby when I'm in my thirties and then kinda fat in my forties with a big spare tire in my fifties.

I don't know what implications the p90x system is going to have for my poo but I guess we'll see. I expect some changes at least, especially if I stick to the recommendations in the nutrition guide. So from now on consider this a P90X blog from a different perspective. and let me know if you have any insights!
